Universal Funding

From the age of three, all children are eligible for for 15 hours a week, funded by the Local Education Authority. This is available the term after the child turns three. For example, if they are three in May, their funding becomes available the following September.

Paperwork completed when you enrol your child at pre-school allows us to automatically access their funding at the correct time.

​30 Hours Funding

Some families are eligible for an additional 15 hours, known as the '30 hours funding' or 'extended funding. This is for 3 and 4 year old children from working families and as the Universal Funding, is available the term after their 3rd birthday.

 

Although Swallows Pre-school is only open for 13.5 hours per week, the additional hours can be shared with some other settings, including Stawley Pre-school.

If you are eligible, you will generate a code, which can be passed to the pre-school, along with a consent form to enable us to claim from the local authority.

You are required to re-confirm your eligibility each term.
